Terminal Salary Determination
We had to re-derive terminal salaries of various grades of staff based on length
of service, age,
date of exit, salary scale over a period of years and detecting errors running
to half a billion
in
local currency.
Data Templates
Capturing data from respondents or from daily transactions is often a challenge.
Often pertinent
details are left out. We designed templates to capture data with ease. This
greatly reduced
errors,
allowed for faster consolidation of returns, dynamic generation of approval
memos and reports etc.
Irregularities In Allowances
The task involved reviewing massive records of Personal Travel Allowance
applicants to determine
those with irregularities (diversion, impersonation, duplication, utilisation
etc). Over 100,000
USD
was recovered with about 5 staff losing their jobs using deep analytics.
Audit Scripts
Repetitive tasks using the traditional tools are often laborious. This is more so
during audit
exercises. We had to automate some of the tasks for improved audit results. Some
of the automated
tasks included audit of Trial Balance, Payrol Data, Loans Data, Invoice
Processing, Interest/Fees
computations etc.
Report Automation
Different management reports were automated in Excel Templates using data from
the legacy
systems.
This way reports needed not be created every month as these are automatically
generated from the
templates.
